Curt originally joined KSSK in 1985 as an intern, and within a few months was offered a deejay position in the weekend midnight to 5 a.m. slot. “I owe a great deal to my old KSSK supervisors,” Curt says. “They gave me my start at the station that all Hawaii radio tries to measure up to.” “I am truly living my dream.”
After a short time with KSSK, Williams moved to the Big Island and joined a station in Kailua-Kona, where, during his four-year employment, he worked as deejay, program director and finally interim general manager before moving home to Oahu. Once again in Honolulu, Williams worked briefly at a couple of Oahu stations prior to returning to KSSK as a full time on call/vacation relief deejay in 1994. Eventually being promoted to middays in 1995 and a couple years later took over Afternoon Drive, and has been in that #1 Rated position ever since.
Born and raised on Oahu, Williams is a graduate of Damien Memorial High School, Kapiolani Community College and attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting. He currently resides in Hawaii Kai where he spends most of his free time enjoying “family life” with his wife Heather and adult sons Caleb & Zach.
