Jessie J is encouraging a young fan's "spark" after he surprised her during a recent show.

During her No Secrets Tour stop in New York City on Wednesday (January 28), Jessie — and the entire audience at Irving Plaza — got quite the shock when she gave a 12-year-old fan named Noah a microphone to sing her track "Nobody's Perfect" and he proved he had the vocal skills to back it up, per People.

The crowd cheered along as Noah sang the 2011 ballad, with Jessie offering encouragement and helping him with lyrics before sharing how interactions like that are "the moments I do this for."

"You probably weren't even alive when that song came out. Man, how old are you? You're 12? I would give you a record deal, but I don't even have one," she quipped. She hyped the audience up to "make some noise" for Noah and gushed over how "amazing" he was, jumping into the crowd to give him a hug. "I'm so proud of you, man. I'm really proud of you."

The "Price Tag" musician also offered the tween some advice for if he wants to keeping singing, explaining that any nerves he may have are a good thing because it shows "you care."

"Don't ever, ever, ever, ever carry on singing if that feeling doesn't come — that feeling of fear, that's where you now want to laugh and cry, and your body feels like it's shaking," she said. "Like, that is the thing. That's it right there. Hold on to that spark 'cause not everyone has it."
