Giant Fireball Traveling 32K MPH in North Carolina Sky Caught on Video


A video captured last Friday in Rowland Pond, North Carolina is making the rounds after a massive meteor blazed through the night sky at 32,000 miles per hour.

There were around 150 reports of the fireball as it flew as across the sky at around 7:40 pm, with calls coming in as far as Maryland and West Virginia.

NASA says the meteor traveled about 26 miles through our upper atmosphere before disintegrating 28 miles above Morehead City, North Carolina.
