A McDonald’s franchise owner in Tampa, Florida is so desperate to hire some workers, he's paying $50 to anyone who will at least come in for an interview. He's got a sign outside one of his Mickey D's, which reads "Interviews, Monday through Friday. Get $50 for interview." Plenty of restaurants around the country are scrambling to hire workers; there's competition for employees as more businesses reopen, the gig flow economy offers more flexibility and some people are nervous about working the fast food frontlines while the country still deals with COVID-19 infections. The franchise owner says despite his $50 offer, he's still having a hard time getting people through the door for an interview.
