Jack White doesn't phone it in when he performs live, and now he's insisting his fans do the same. On Wednesday, the former White Stripes frontman announced that all cell phones will be banned from his upcoming tour. "We think you'll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON," he said in a statement. Concertgoers will be furnished with Yondr pouches to stow their devices until the show's over. Fans who need their phones during a performance can unlock their pouches in designated Yondr Phone Zones located in lobbies and concourses. An official tour photographer will capture footage of the concerts so fans still have something to post on their social media accounts. Says White in his statement, "Repost our photos and videos as much as you want and enjoy a phone-free, 100% human experience."
