Shelters The 20 shelters open across Oahu will remain open Saturday (August 25, 2018) until 12 p.m. At last count there were 1,072 people in these shelters. City buses will be used for special service to transport people from these shelters to where they were picked up. This will begin around 10 a.m. Saturday.
City Parks All 299 city parks will re-open on Sunday (August 26, 2018). The exception is Hanauma Bay, which will remain closed Saturday (August 25, 2018) and Sunday (August 26, 2018). Lifeguards will continue to place themselves in mobile units through Saturday, and then return to their towers on Sunday. The Honolulu Zoo and golf courses will likely re-open on Sunday (August 26, 2018), barring any standing water that may affect the playability of these courses.
On Saturday, August 25, 2018, via TheBus and TheHandi-Van:
- Reverse Evacuation Services - Buses will provide evacuees service leaving the evacuation shelters starting at 10:00 am.
- TheHandi-Van will be providing service on Saturday.
- TheHandi-Van Reservations will begin service at 8:00 am and will take same day, Sunday and Monday reservations.
- TheBus will resume regular Saturday service after 6:00 am, with the exception of the Express Routes W1, W2 & W3, which will operate as scheduled.
- TheBus Information office will begin service at 5:30 am.
- TheBus and TheHandi-Van service will be Fare Free all day Saturday, 8/25/2018.

All ‘Ohana by Hawaiian flights
"Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility returns to normal operations effective first shift tomorrow, Saturday (August 25th). Those employees not on a weekend shift will report on Monday (August 27th) per their normal work schedule."
Three Driver’s License Offices to be open Saturday (August 25, 2018)
Honolulu – Mayor Kirk Caldwell announced today that three Driver’s License Offices will be open island-wide on Saturday, August 25 now that Lane has been downgraded to a tropical storm. Kapālama Hale will be open for a full day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday as part of an effort to provide customers with temporary additional service options to address the increase in license renewals this year, as well as the heavy summer demand.
•All scheduled Saturday appointments will be honored.
•Special windows will be made available for those with appointments whom we were not able to serve on Thursday and Friday as well as the Saturday appointments at Wai‘anae and Ko‘olau centers which remain closed on Saturday. Please have your text confirmation or notice available.
•Walk-ins are welcome.
The Wahiawā Driver’s License Center will also be open a full day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
