Demi Lovato Brutally Body-Shamed, Fans Rush To Her Defense

It's been a rough few months for Demi Lovato. On July 24, she nearly died from a drug overdose, but thankfully, she fully recovered and went to rehab.

Recently, the "Confident" singer completed her 90 days and has started to share photos of herself again. On Tuesday, she posted a pic of herself casting a vote in the midterm elections, marking the first time she publicly posed for a photo since she was hospitalized. She has also been photographed by the paparazzi, including shots of her picking up some coffee in LA after a workout. In the pics, Demi, who has been spending time in a sober-living facility, looks healthy, but trolls felt the need to shame her, though Demi's fans were having none of it.

Some heartless commenters clearly forgot that not only is Demi a person, but one who is in a vulnerable state as she continues her recovery. Here is a sample of the cruel things they were saying:

While it's never good to feed the trolls, Demi's fans weren't going to stand for haters making those types of comments:

Fans will be happy to learn that Demi seems to be doing very well. An insider told Entertainment Tonight, "Demi is happy and healthy has done a complete 180 since she overdosed. Her 90 days in rehab have truly turned her life around. She wants to remain out of rehab. She has a sober coach and a complete support system."

The singer is also apparently rethinking her daily habits and "is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle" as well.
