Posted July 29th, 2014 @ 2:10pm

A Japanese national who allegedly assaulted a flight attendant while flying to Hawaii for his honeymoon received a three-month sentence Tuesday. Kenji Okamoto pleaded guilty last month to interfering with a flight attendant's duties by assaulting and intimidating him.  Okamoto has been in federal custody since the May flight landed in Honolulu.  He's expected to be released in a few weeks and will return to Japan. He faced up to 20 years in prison.
