Judge Rules Puna Special Election is a Go!

Posted Thursday, August 14th 2014 @ 3pm

The Puna special election will go on Friday as planned. A state circuit court judge ruled against a temporary restraining order delaying the vote to give Puna residents more time to recover from Tropical Storm Iselle. Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa had requested the injunction saying the residents' rights were affected by the storm. Hanabusa can appeal to the State Supreme Court, but the polls open at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
