An early morning fire destroyed a home in Hauula Sunday. The two-alarm fire was reported just before 5:30 a.m. on Kawaipuna Street. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. All the occupants -- seven adults and three children -- were able to escape, but a 60-year-old man suffered burns to his arm. He refused treatment. The fire was under control shortly before 6 a.m. The damage was estimated at $400,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
